The Nuevo Leon government said the notorious Zetas drug gang had claimed responsibility for the bloodbath, one of the worst to hit Mexico during its struggle against the powerful cartels. The massacre follows several other mass slayings in Mexico. Many have occurred in the north, where the Zetas have waged a war against rival groups for control of smuggling routes into the United States, the biggest market for illicit drugs. In this case, it would’ve been helpful for him to explain to Malia and Sasha that while her friends parents are no doubt lovely people, that’s not a reason to change thousands of years of thinking about marriage.  Or that – as great as her friends may be – we know that in general kids do better growing up in a mother/father home.  Ideally, fathers help shape their kids’ worldview.

In this situation, it was the other way around.  I guess we can be glad that Malia and Sasha aren’t younger, or perhaps today’s press conference might have been about appointing Dora the Explorer as Attorney General because of her success in stopping Swiper the Fox.

Sometimes dads should lead their family in the right ways of thinking.  In this case, it would’ve been nice if the President would’ve been an actual leader and helped shape their thoughts instead of merely reflecting what many teenagers think after one too many episodes of Glee.

You know she’s right. I mean, maybe we should reinstate slavery since abolishing that changed thousands of years of thinking. Or maybe, if we want to talk about the “traditional” thinking of marriage specifically, maybe we should go back to calling interracial marriage an abomination or rapists paying money to marry their victims to make “right with god”. Thanks, Bristol. I have a whole new perspective on the importance of Biblical tradition.

Let’s go over the list of this semester

  1. Debilitating pain in my abdomen daily, only getting worse and more frequent by the day, don’t have an appointment to fix until May 16th. It’s getting hard to even walk in the mornings.
  2. Diagnosed with mono
  3. Cyst in my booby needed to be removed
  4. Finn, my nephew, was diagnosed with Epilepsy
  5. I thought for weeks that my tires had blown which caused a lot of inconvenience, but turns out I just don’t know how to inflate my tires
  6. Bladder infection.
  7. Polarized Ray Bans were stolen from me at work
  8. Parking tickets! Oh, you!
  9. My keys and wallet were stolen which made for a loooonng list of delays and general annoyances that I still cannot or have not fixed completely. For example, my wallet was stolen Tuesday, my appointment for my abdomen was Wednesday. No insurance card, debit card, or license? Had to reschedule and the earliest date was May 16th, 4 weeks away.

I am still, however, in pretty good spirits. I just want this shit to be over with.
